Tomorrow, That Kid and I will be getting on a plane for the Golden State. We're going to hang out with That Papa and That Onna for a couple weeks, before That Dad drives in and saves them.
Last night we were discussing how long we were going to stay in the Golden State. That Dad said, "You'll have already been there for quite a while...they'll be ready for you to be gone. Guess I'll see them for about 18 hours then; and 9 of those hours I'll be asleep!" and I told him, "Yes, but YOU haven't already been there for two weeks, so they'll want YOU to stay for a while. At least 2 or 3 days!" We still don't know how long That Dad will be visiting. Ugh.
After that, we're driving up the Oregon Coast. That Dad wanted to take 4 or 5 days, but that's not going to happen. Not with hotels being $100 (at least) a night! So, we'll do it in two. And we're making our way to Washington, to see That Mother-in-Law and That Step-Father-in-Law. Not sure how long we're visiting there, either. That Dad had it figured out to be about 2 days, and I said, "Your mother would not be impressed with us, you know!"
I also have to figure my visit to Forks, WA into my plan. I am going to Forks, but I don't know who I'm going with yet. I'm either going with That Dad (who would have a great time!!! He is just DYYYYYYYYYYYYING to see Forks and LaPush!!!), or with Those In-Law's neighbor (who really *would* like to go to Forks and LaPush). We'll see.

It's the Circle of Life
Last Summer, That Dad purchased a "bug house" for That Kid. It was pretty cool, but very breakable, and when That Kid fell on it earlier this year he broke the screening out. We went to the Big store with Lots of stuff and bought him a new PLASTIC one for $2.
While it is a bug habitat, it's become his spider habitat. Currently, there are 4 spiders in there, 3 are dead. Their names are Weesa, Other Weesa, Daddy, and Papa. Daddy and Papa died of natural causes (well, as natural of causes as could be after being trapped for two days). Sadly, Other Weesa was murdered.
You see, That Kid (trying to be kind) gave his pets some cookies. And, well, spiders are fairly fragile creatures...and when he carries his pets through the house he swings their habitat around. Spiders + Cookie pieces = dead spiders. Dead spiders + That Kid = crying.
Thankfully (???) That Dad knows where about 300 Million more spiders can be found. He told That Kid not to cry, that we'll get him more spiders. Isn't he the best?

Things that make you go "Hmmmm?"
On Thursday, while at the gym, a commercial came on that was talking about http://www.mymarriagematters.org .
I had no idea what the commercial was for because the volume was turned down, so I decided to investigate it tonight.
I went to mymarriagematters.org, and found it was a petition against a website called ashleymadison.com. Apparently ashleymadison.com sets up married people, with other married people, so they can have affairs because having an affair can make your marriage so much better; and you and your spouse will be much, much more happy after one (or both?!?) of you have an affair.
For the record, I signed the petition. But, not before telling That Dad that an affair wouldn't make either one of us happier because we would be fighting over who had to live with That Kid after our divorce.
If you value the sanctity of marriage, I urge you to sign the petition as well, and share it with your friends. ashleymadison.com is a farce to marriage and Christianity.

Remind me why speech therapy was a good idea please!
This morning, That Kid and I were meeting the girls from our Moms group at the park so the kids could play. Sadly, That Kid ended up being the only little kid there. BUT, he also ran himself ragged with the big boys (9-12), so he's crashed out right now. :) :)
On our way out the door this morning, we were looking in the yard for "Bo Bo Bunny", and he saw a crow. He told me, "Look! There an aminal! It a bird!" I responded, "Yes, it's a crow!" and he said, "No! It no a crow, it a bird!" So much for trying to teach him something new!!

People are starting to notice...
Today at church, not one, but TWO people said they could see that I've lost weight. FINALLY! It's been 6 months and I've lost about 25 pounds.
Using My Fitness Pal has been a great help. It keeps me accountable for my calorie intake! I love being able to input my food, and knowing that it keeps track of my calories eaten and burned is great, too. Any calories I burn off are put back into my bank for the day. I don't have to use them, but if I do it's OK, too. I'm making friends on the My Fitness Pal website, and having support from online pals always makes everything better! I love my online pals!! :) :) :)

The First Last Day...
Once we got home, there were games! We played Candy Land, Party in my Tummy, and Alice in Wonderland Memory. Out of five rounds (two Candy Land, two Party in my Tummy, and one Alice in Wonderland), That Kid won four. He's the Candy Land master! And he's pretty good at Party in my Tummy, too. He's still trying to figure out Memory though...He kept turning the same two cards over again and again. :)
Then, we had hot dogs (and bratwurst for the grown ups); and roasted marshmallows over our fire pit. This convinced me yet again...That Kid is not our child. He declared the marshmallows "yucky", and refused to eat them. He did eat several straight out of the bag however. I'm hopeful that by the end of summer he'll love roasted marshmallows and we can have them every year on the last day of school!
