Golden State Greetings!!

That Dad, That Kid and I are in the Golden State! While it's normally rainy and cold, this week has been amazing. Warm and sunny! We have been having adventures with That Papa and That Onna, too!

Wednesday we went up to Oregon and went to a wildlife park. That Kid and I got to hold a baby leopard. It tried to steal That Kid's jacket! And its older brother wanted to eat That Kid for lunch. We also got to pet several goats, a donkey, and saw some Wallabies.

Thursday, That Dad and I took That Kid to the beach (or, as That Kid says "The ochin") and flew a kite. It was a very manly Tinkerbelle kite I found at the Dollar Tree for fifty cents. That Dad is bright red from the sun, and That Kid was soaked and sandy!!! We're going back today for more beach fun, and a little splashing in the ochin.

We're leaving on Tuesday. I'm not ready. There's a ton more stuff I want to do with That Dad...he doesn't get out here much. But, we're having a good time and we're making memories...and that's what's important!

A poem

Milk, white milk. Milk in a carton, milk in a cup. Milk, white milk. Slurp it up.

Milk, white milk. Milk in the carpet, not in a cup. Milk, white milk. Slurp it up.

Milk, white milk. Milk on the table, not in a cup. Milk, white milk. Slurp it up.

Crying child, That Kid. Crying over spilled milk. Crying child, That Kid. In his bed.

I hate waiting

As much as That Kid has decided he hates sitting on the potty (unless we're at a NEW potty, like at Chik-fil-a, or Target, or Gramma's house...), I hate waiting. I especially hate waiting for phone calls. Is my phone call not the most important phone call to be returned?

And my left hand hurts. I think I may have sprained it. That Kid has a habit of hanging on my arm while I'm sitting at the computer desk, and he broke me. And I thought I broke my big toe on my right foot last night, but That Dad says it's really hard to break your big toe. I slammed my toe on an open drawer. On That Kid's plate/cup/silverware drawer. It's kinda bruised. And it's the same toe that I had to have the nail removed on in October (the nail grew back...it's ugly, but it's back). I need That Onna...

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!!

What's that you hear? Oh yes! The Potty Train!!!

After trying for several months, taking a break when we moved and starting again, That Kid is finally interested in going potty on the toilet!!! I ask him a few times a day if he wants to go, and he will do it...for a price. ;) And that boy's currency is something I would have never, ever thought of. At the beginning, he got M&Ms. But, those aren't his currency. Not Cheerios, not raisins, not goldfish crackers. That Kid will do just about ANYTHING for........are you ready?? It's totally unexpected.........hearts. Candy hearts.

Thankfully I stocked up after Valentine's Day. I bought a bag that had 48 individual bags in it, a bag of large hearts, a bag of small hearts, and four large boxes (theatre candy sized) of hearts that sparkle. He also gets a CARS sticker for his chart. As of right now he has seven stickers. Last night he earned a small game for getting five stickers. I'm just glad That Dad and I stocked up on toys and games at the Bulls eye store after CHRISTmas. We're set. We even already have his BIG gift...a train table. He needs 50 stickers for that, though. It's been taunting him for about 2 months...and he keeps asking for it. At least now he knows that once he gets 50 stickers he gets it. But, he can only count to 20-10, so he doesn't know how many 50 is. :)

Totally random and controversial question for the day...

Should gays and lesbians be allowed to use the locker room of the opposite sex at the gym?

I would feel much better changing next to a gay man in the locker room instead of a lesbian. And I could probably get some good style tips from the gay man, too.

The End.
